Diabetes Type 2 and Obesity-Two Preventable Problems

Obesity is mainly caused in many cases by bad eating habits. Obesity and stress lead to the onset of Diabetes Type 2, as researchers have seen, reducing the lifespan of the obese diabetic. But what if we could treat and prevent all these problems? Scientists and researchers have been analyzing and debating over the right course of action and the underlying causes to be addressed by decision makers to tackle diabetes type 2 in the obese. The solution is already available both for treatment and prevention. According to the Global Burden of Disease Study 2013 there more than 2.1 billion overweight and obese in the world. What are we doing wrong?

Thus the pancreas goes into overdrive, eventually slowing down and stopping insulin production.

Two more researchers got to the same conclusion, yet with two other proteins: Resistin protein researched by Morris F. White, Ph.D., of the Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston, and Endoplasmic reticulum studied by Dr. Gokhan Hotamisligil, professor of genetics at the Harvard School of Public Health.

Even if still in its infancy, the study of stress connected to various diseases such as cancer and diabetes is very real. According to a 2010 study from the Center of Research on Psychology in Somatic Diseases (CoRPS) in the Netherlands, emotional stress and the development of type 2 diabetes mellitus are linked.

The results suggest that not only depression and emotional stress are associated with an increased risk for the development of type 2 diabetes but also anxiety, sleeping problems, anger, and hostility.

Prevent Obesity and Diabetes with Brown Fat

Since the first studies were published on the subject even if it sparked some controversies, the benefits of exercise to produce brown fat that in turn diminishing white fat are quite popular. Furthermore, obese individuals have less brown fat than fit people.

As far as the saturated fat is concerned– this compound of processed food has been mistakenly blamed for the extra white fat on our bodies for ages, while for the past ten years the researchers have debunked this myth – most processed foods contain both saturated fat and high carb levels thus all these combined factors are adding inches to the waist and thighs.

Conclusions:

You too can live a longer and a happier life if you make a minimal effort to upgrade your fridge with healthy foods that are in sync with the area you live in. Gastric surgery and SGIT metabolic surgery are a last resort to tackle both obesity and diabetes but you needn’t let it get to that extreme point.
